Red Dog Gallery – Juried Exhibition
The singer Paul Simon came out with his album “Seven Psalms” in 2023. I find his music so inspiring and over the course of the last couple of years, I’ve made seven paintings while listening to this reflective, deeply resonant-to-me album. I’ve gathered these paintings into a series that is now on display at the Red Dog Gallery as a part of the Tapestry Show.
This series of 12″x12″ paintings is a contemplation of ,and reaction to, Paul Simon’s 2023 music album and meditation on life, “Seven Psalms.” I have been deeply affected by this work and engaged in this painting project over the last two years to find a visual response and my own thinking about life and where I am now.
